Gate Registration is $45 for Adults, $20 for Children under 12, children under 6 admitted free and includes a rally pin (while supplies last), door prize drawing entry, camping for the duration of the Rally, and two drink tokens. With very limited exceptions, you must be riding a BMW motorcycle to be admitted via gate registration. Day passes are available for $30, and are valid until midnight of the day purchased. Day pass registrations include a rally pin (while supplies last) and two drink tickets. Day Pass riders will be required to leave their motorcycles at the gate.

Pre-registration for the 2009 edition of the '49er Rally is now closed- just proceed to the Gate.

Your registration fee entitles you to three nights of camping, two drink tokens, a rally pin, door prize entry and access to a plethora of '49er Rally activities.

Come join the throng of BMW riders and friends at the Gold Country Fairgrounds, close to Old Town Auburn’s dining shopping and attractions, and easy access to the Sierra Nevada mountain roads.

Scheduled speakers this year:

"Seven Highways at the Top of the World" by Wynne Benti, who's been riding less than a year, yet she took her BMW 650GS to Alaska and back, covering 10,582 miles.

Lee Blake presents “There and Back Again with the Garmin ZUMO” and Phil Douglas - Founder of AfterShocks and suspension setup guru.

Greg Feeler, the current BMW MOA Vice President will be available for an informal discussion Saturday evening. Several of the BMW MOA Board of Directors have conducted these kind of sessions at other regional rallies and they have been very popular. Members can get candid answers to their questions.

In addition to vendors, travel and tech sessions, Poker Run with gold coin prizes, over $2,500 in prizes, English Trials, and motorcycle skills and safety clinic, enjoy live music in the beer garden and bask in camaraderie.

There will also be a eleven Concours judging Catergories to enter your bike. Get the application and categories here (pdf).


The fairgrounds will open for camping on Thursday afternoon. Registration Includes 3 nights flat grassy camping & hot showers (early bird camping available -- $10 tent / $20 RV per night). Optional Sat. BBQ Dinner (pre-registered ONLY), and there's now a vegetarian option.

The beer garden and food concessions open on Friday, and Friday night Fast Fridays motorcycle races are held at the fairgrounds speedway with discount tickets available to ‘49er rally goers. Rally events are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, concluding with the Awards Ceremony and prize giveaway.
