  • BMW NorCal launches its New Camper Program!

    BMW NorCal unveiled its New Camper Program at the July Member Meeting and Campout. 
    This pilot program, spearheaded by Board member Kevin Coleman and launched by the Board in July, is an educational program intended to help first time campers get into moto camping and includes loaner gear. For those interested in pitching in, we are collecting gently used camping gear - primarily tents, sleeping bags, and sleeping pads. Our target audience, people new to moto camping that don't know where to start, haven't had the camping experience, and haven't yet started to purchase their own gear. 

    Taking advantage of the program was a very enthusiastic Ashok Subbarama. Not only was this his first time camping, it was his furthest motorcycle ride! And since we were camping up at the amazing Forks of the Salmon, he had a perfect introduction to moto camping!

  • Welcome 2018/2019 Board of Directors!

    As you know June is the annual election meeting, this year held at Chanslor Ranch at Salmon Creek on the Sonoma Coast. The results of this year's election are as follows:

    President: Greg Hutchinson

    Vice President: Mike Morlin

    Secretary: Fred Montano

    Treasurer: Kevin Coleman

    Safety Director: Jorgen Larsen

    Historian: Rick Webb

    Tour Captain: Nick Gloyd

    This year's Board has a great mix of seasoned and new members, and should prove to be a strong and dynamic leadership team for the Club over the next year. 

    It should be noted that by stepping into the Vice President position, Mike Morlin will now have served in all of the Board positions! Welcome Mike and thank you! And thanks to the rest of the Board as well.

  • June is Election Time!

    It's June which means it's time again for our Annual Meeting where we hold elections for the Board of Directors. This is when members in good standing* can give back to the club - to run for one of the Board positions and/or to turn out to vote. And this year a few of the Board are cooking up a great BBQ for the club - so click the link below and get signed up early so we can nail down the food.

  • The Passing of a Friend

    It is with a heavy heart that we are sharing the passing of a friend, Ted Hutz. Ted was an early and long-time member of BMW NorCal and as a Club we want to express our condolences to his family. For those of you that knew Ted and want to pay your respects, there will be a Memorial service on Saturday, June 2nd at 11:00 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 701 S. Pleasant Ave. in Lodi, CA. Friends are invited to join family at Woodbridge Country Club following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted for the BMW Club of Northern California in memory of Ted.
