Half Moon Bay to Portola Valley via Santa Cruz

The ride will start at the Main Street Grill at 547 Main Street in Half Moon Bay. Breakfast at 8:00 AM (restaurant opens at 8:00 AM) and kick stands up at 9:00 AM!

This is the start of Daylight Savings time so don’t forget to set your clocks forward or you’ll be an hour late.  Also,  the route may change based on road conditions, especially if we have anymore  atmospheric rivers hit the Santa Cruz mountains.

We will take Highway 1 down the coast until we hit La Honda Road.  From their we will head into the mountains and return to Highway 1 via Pescadero Creek Road.  We’ll take Highway 1 to Santa Cruz and have a short bathroom and rest stop at Coffetopia.  From there it’s Empire Grade Road, Jamison Cred Road and Big Basis road through Big Basin State Park and up to Highway 35.  Then we will travel a short distance northbound and take Page Mill Road road down towards Highway 280 endng up at Alpine Inn Beer Garden (3915 Alpine Road in Portola Valley) if anyone wants lunch.  If it’s a nice day we can sit on the patio...
