7/6 - Due to unforeseen bike issues the release of routes will be delayed.   We hope to have them completed by the end of next week.  Please register, so as soon as the information is released you will get notified.

Note that guest registration will open July 7.

Grab your fishing pole as we are headed to Bear River Group Campground (#3 & #4) in the Eldorado National Forest.  The proximity to water and the mixed pine setting in the fresh Sierra Nevada air, makes this campground an excellent group retreat destination. Upriver from the campground is the Upper Bear River Reservoir. This lake is smaller and spans 166 surface acres with 2.5 miles of shoreline. Check out this file for more information and a camp group map to help you find the group site

We have the campground starting Friday July 28th, the breakfast  and group ride start is on Friday July 28 at Black Bear Diner 3201 Main St, Oakley, CA 94561.   Meeting will be on Saturday July 29th @5pm.  The ride is approximately 150 miles and will take 4 hours without stops so be prepared to leave at 9 AM sharp with a full tank of gas and knowledge of the route, destination and stopping points, etc and GPS files loaded.  Route Sheets and GPS files will be provided via separate email after we finalize the route in early July.

Directions to Camp:

From Jackson, California, travel east on State Route 88 for 39 miles and turn right (south) on Bear River Road. Travel 2 miles to Y intersection and stay to the right side, going across the dam. Drive .5 miles past South Shore Campground to Bear Group Campground, which will be located on left side of road.
