49er GS Training Courses

One of the top goals of the BMW Motorcycle Club of Northern California is safety through rider education, and as a Club we regularly offer road and track training opportunities to our membership.

We are proud to offer three outstanding training options including GS training by RawHyde, a Women's only GS training course taught by BMW Brand Ambassador Louise Powers, and a slow speed asphalt course taught by leading instructors for police academies.  For more details and links to the registration for these option programs see below

If you are a BMW MOA member part of your cost may be covered through a Paul B Scholarship.  Check out this link for an application.

Be sure and attend our reception for all participants after the training in the hospitality center from 5 to 6 PM.

Course Overview

Rawhyde is bringing their outstanding training curriculum to the 49er and offering two classes each day, a beginner/intermediate course suitable for riders with no off-road experience or minimal training who want to learn the skills necessary to ride in the dirt, as well as an intermediate/advanced course that is best for those that already know the basics and want to continue their development and build greater confidence as well as learn new skills to help you in more challenging areas.

The Rawhyde instructors will use scaled down versions of the Intro to Adventure, Intro Plus and Next Step courses taught at the Rawhyde facilities in California and Colorado.  Talk to anyone who as taking a Rawhyde class and they will tell you it was an outstanding experience both in terms of the training and skills learned as well as the camaraderie with your fellow students.

We are taking full advantage of the great off-road riding of the Northern Sierra Mountain Range by following up the course with a guided off-road ride in the afternoon that will put your skills to the test.   You'll end the day with a celebration in the Beer Garden with your fellow students.

As an added bonus 50% of your course fee will be credited to the cost of a Rawhyde training course at their adventure training sites in California and Colorado.

Space is limited for these courses so don't delay in signing up. For more details and links to the registration page check out the course pages.
