Sorry to hear about going down, what a bummer. I have the same bike but never had the power cut out like that. You might check the spark plugs if they have been in there awhile. Mine had some excessive wear but I caught them before it became a problem. Now I change them more often. If It were an airhead I would guess an intermittent broken/loose wire somewhere.

Have a 2019 1250 gs adventure.   I took it out Monday to go to the eye doctor to have my glasses fixed.  It ran fine from Boulder Creek to Felton.  When I left Felton it was having intermittent power issues.  I recalled the key three times.  I rode to Scott's Valley to the bank.  On the way back same thing occurred.  It went to the shop Wednesday for a checkup.  It ran perfectly all the way there.  I found nothing on the GS-911 on Monday when I got home.  No error messages on the TFT.  The shop hooked it up to the computer and updated the software 3 versions and said it couldn't be duplicated.  I drove it hone, it ran fine.

Sunday I took it out up Bear Creek Rd and had it happen again.  I turned around to go hone.  It happened again causing me to go down.  I sustained a concussion,  a cracked rib, several contusions, not to mention the cracked valve cover, gouged out front rim, and a crushed Givi box.  Thank God I wasn't on the freeway when this happened.

Does anyone have experience with this issue?  Any and all responses would be appreciated.
